How will it work?

We will start with a virtual coffee date to get to know each other and see if we are a good fit. From there we will start with a 90-minute comprehensive intake session where we will take a deep dive into your health history and goals. This will be followed by either 3 or 6 months of follow-up sessions where we will monitor what is and isnโ€™t working for you and make any necessary adjustments to help you reach your goals.


would i have to go completely plant-based?

While a whole food plant-based diet has been shown to have many health benefits, it is not necessary to go plant-based overnight. To be sustainable, change needs to be gradual and any amount plants you add to your daily nutrition will contribute to your success, even if you never become 100% plant-based.


will i lose weight?

Most people do lose weight when switching to a whole food plant-based way of eating. While focusing on the health benefits and recurrence prevention, weight loss becomes a welcome side affect that comes without measuring and calorie counting!


where will i get my protein?

You can get all of the protein you need from eating a whole foods plant-based diet. The largest study to date on the subject, published in the Journal of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics found that, on average, vegetarians and vegans get 70 percent more protein than they need every day. Most plant foods, with the exception of fruit, have a protein content at or above 12 to 15 percent of total calories. Without any effort you will be getting more than enough protein.


How can nutrition affect my breast health?

Eating a diet which is rich in whole plant foods provides fiber which removes excess estrogens from the body. In addition to fiber, these foods are packed with vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients that have been shown in several studies to lower cancer risk.


Will i need to take supplements?

Everyone is at a different place on their health journey, however in general the only supplements sometimes recommended for those on a whole food plant-based diet are vitamin B12 and sometimes vitamin D in the winter months. That being said, vitamin B12 and D levels have also been found to be deficient or low in those consuming an omnivore diet as well.
